ESTATE INSIDE POWER ENCOUNTER HAVE FLOOD ISSUES

Flood is one of the problem that River State people and resident have, whenever its rains some area in Port Harcourt face heavy flood, some resident lose their property, while others have their house feel with water.

Some months back (May) a heavy rainfall wreaked havoc at an area close to Rumuibekwe in Portharcourt,  destroying properties and rendering  families homeless.

Just like every other day it rained heavily in Rumuodara area of Portharcourt on Sunday, some areas was flooded as usual. Movement of people living in the estate of power encounter was restricted.

Some hours after the rain of the houses were still submerged in water.

Some of the resident whose houses were still filled with water after the rain suffers a lot by scooping the water, others who have important functions to attend waits patiently for the flood to dry up. Some who cannot and are not mobile uses rain boot to go out, other give up and cancel the movement for the day.

This flood cause by lack of drainage which is due to block gutters. This blocks gutter and the flood started after a company came to work on the gutters, immediately they finish their work and left the flood issue started.

These flood affects every individual in this area, it gradually damage a building or the fence of a building and spoils a car it also restrict the movement of people so it affects every individual in this area and their guest

The flood issue will cause more problems for the people if not given immediate attention.
